From local product mart to leading international trade fair: The International Green Week is a one-of-a-kind international exhibition of the food, agriculture and gardening industries.

The International Green Week Berlin is the longest-running trade fair in the city as well as one of the best-known events in all of Germany. It can now look back on 93 eventful years and in 2019 its doors were open for the eighty-fourth time. No other international exhibition attracting hundreds of thousands of consumers every year has taken place as many times as the Green Week. Originally just a local product mart, it has grown into the world’s largest consumer show for agriculture, food and horticulture.

IGW is the origin of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA). This is where over 80 international ministries and food producers meet – their displays reveal the fascinating world of the food and beverage industries.

Where tradition and future meet

Everyone who has been around since 1926 knows how traditions are maintained, as well as how innovations are created in order to ensure continuity. Renewable resources, organic agriculture, gardening and the future of rural development continue to gain importance at International Green Week.

AGRITECHNICA – The World’s No. 1

9. – 15. November 2025 in Hanover

Agritechnica is the showcase of the global agricultural engineering industry and a forum for the future of plant production.

Last Agritechnica 2019 closed its doors with resounding success. "With 2,820 exhibitors and 450,000 visitors - more than 130,000 of them from outside Germany - Agritechnica has once again impressively demonstrated its outstanding position as the world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology," said Dr. Reinhard Grandke, CEO of the DLG. "The guiding theme 'Global Farming – Local Responsibility' focused on the current challenges of agriculture, such as increasing productivity and protection of the climate, environment and resources worldwide. The exhibitors presented innovative solutions for future questions of the industry and society. Agritechnica 2019 showed implementation strategies for the local challenges of the world's agricultural regions. New methods, driven by digitisation, automation and robotics, are the greatest trend setters here."

BrauBeviale

26. - 28. November 2024 in Nuremberg

BrauBeviale – the trade fair for the process chain of beverage production.

Continuity is the big advantage of BrauBeviale. With its concentrated 3-year power, it provides space for new ideas – and time for them to develop. Not just the mega-trends in the industry, but also the smaller topics that offer so much potential for innovation.

BrauBeviale has taken place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg since 1978. The event had already attracted 152 exhibitors and 2,478 visitors to the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg by 1980. Today’s capital goods exhibition originated in Bamberg, where it was launched in 1957 as a training course and social event for the sector.

About 40,000 trade visitors in 2019, BrauBeviale was the most important international capital goods exhibition for the whole beverage production process chain: raw materials, technologies, logistics and marketing. Small and medium enterprises and global players from Europe and the rest of the world used the creative atmosphere at BrauBeviale to develop solutions. It has long been one of the leading European exhibitions for the production and marketing of beer and non-alcoholic drinks.

Eurotier 2024

12. - 15. November 2024 in Hanover

EuroTier, the world's leading trade fair for livestock professionals, returns to Germany’s Hanover Exhibition Grounds from 12. – 15. November 2024. Organized by the DLG (German Agricultural Society), the event will again provide an international platform on which farmers, companies and experts can successfully network, alongside an extensive exhibition and comprehensive technical program.

EuroTier is the world's leading trade fair for animal farming and livestock management. The innovation platform of the global animal production industry shows a complete overview of innovations, solutions and established standards. It presents solutions and innovations for cattle, pig and poultry farming. The subjects of sheep and goats, boarding horses, aquaculture, alternative proteins and direct marketing complete the exhibition and specialist program.

The last regular edition of EuroTier attracted almost 160.000 attendees, with a record 46.740 travelling to the event from outside Germany, reinforcing its international credentials. More than 100 countries were represented. There were products and solutions displayed by 2.600 exhibitors.
